Drown in the Depth

This work explores the richness of female erotic imagination, subverting both traditional perceptions of female sexuality as well as common metaphors and symbols found in Ukrainian folklore. The original text and music draw upon idioms from folklore and push them past their boundaries and conventions. I am both composer and vocalist in this piece.

Mirror, mirror

This piece, inspired by the classic tale of Snow White and the seven dwarfs, explores the relationship between the Queen and Snow White focusing on themes of aging, beauty and the mother/daughter relationship. The illustrated score consists of five panels produced through linoleum printing, and handworked yarn, tissue paper and water colour elements.
